This seal is easy to replace but difficult to access. If you have the engine or transmission removed for any reason, replace this seal at the same time.
If your rear main seal starts to leak, oil can contaminate your clutch. You need to pull the transmission and flywheel to get to it, so we strongly recommend changing this seal whenever you have the clutch off.
